• About

I am an art historian and digital humanist whose work bridges material culture, social network analysis, and community-based research. With a PhD in Hispanic Studies from Western University, my dissertation combined historiography, database design, and digital methodologies to reconstruct the networks of colonial Mexican painters (1650–1750), offering new insights into artistic production and mobility. My academic trajectory reflects a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, honed through my years teaching conservation and art history in Mexico and my ongoing involvement in the Surviving Memory in Postwar El Salvador project. My research weaves together archival rigor, digital tools, and participatory approaches, centering the voices of communities affected by violence and displacement. Through initiatives such as crowdsourced photographic archives and virtual reconstructions of disappeared villages, I explore the intersections of memory, justice, and heritage, dedicated to co-producing knowledge that is both critically engaged and socially transformative.
