What are users' rights and responsibilities related to network content?

Users' rights:

Once you confirm you have read, understand, and agree with the Terms of Use/Conditions, you are authorized to use the HSS Commons, including your use of publications, blogs, forums, groups, projects, and shared files. You can also read the materials as long as they are public to anyone and use other services on the site. You can take advantage of the platform to share and discuss documents/materials with your colleagues and students.

Users' responsibilities:

The HSS Commons is an academic space in which researchers, educators, and stakeholders can exchange and discuss their scholarly work and publications with one another. Therefore, it is your responsibility to ensure that the content and materials (eg., pictures, images, datasets) posted on the site follow online etiquette/netiquette and do not violate our terms. You also need to define the copyright restrictions to deposit the materials in your repository. Please ensure that your publication can be reposted by a third party/publisher and that you have the appropriate permissions required to assign them a Creative Commons license. For more information, see the Digital Humanities Summer Institute Statement of Ethics and Inclusion, Terms of Use/Conditions, and Abuse and Harassment Policy.
