How do I add images to group blog posts?

To add images to group blog posts, simply do the following:

  • When creating or editing a blog post, navigate to the “Uploaded files” section below the main text field and click “Choose File.”
  • Select the image you’d like to add from your computer, click “Open,” and then press the “Upload” button. The image should now be listed just under the “Uploaded files” heading (see the bottom part of Screenshot #1, below).
  • Finally, click on the “Image” button in the toolbar (see the top of Screenshot #1, below). In the “Image Properties” pop-up that appears (see Screenshot #2, below), copy “/site/groups/1234/uploads/blog/filename.jpg” into the URL field, replacing "1234" with your group's ID number* and “filename.jpg” with the actual name of the image. If you’d like to add an image from your group’s “Files” page instead, just delete the “blog/” bit from the above path: e.g., /site/groups/1234/uploads/filename.jpg.
  • Of note, the “Image Properties” pop-up will also allow you to adjust the size of the image, align it on the page, and more, if you’d like to play around with the image’s appearance, positioning, etc.

* If you don't know your group's ID number, you can find this 4-digit string of numbers displayed below your group's logo in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen (from any page within your group; see the text that says, "Group ID: ").
